MappedApartments.com is an apartment rental site maintained in Burlington, Vermont.  The concept of this site was conceived when the creators of this site were looking for an apartment in Burlington. We looked all around town for an apartment that would meet our needs using a variety of websites and local newspapers and eventually found a place, but we thought there must be a better way.

We starting to think about how it would be great if there was one site that had all of the available listings shown on a map - and a search filter would enable you to change what appeared on the map depending on your desired criteria.  After seeing that there were no sites that used this process we decided to go out on our own to make one.  From that point on we have been striving to make MappedApartments.com the most comprehensive site for owners and agents to rent their apartments.

Our philosophy is simple: "if it is easy for someone to find the right apartment, it will be easy to rent to the right person."  If you want to have a better way to find and rent apartments please help us build the most comprehensive site on the web.  There is no set plan to where this site will end up - we will rely on feedback from our members and visitors to shape the site to be as useful and convenient as possible.

We realize that many people use Craigslist to find apartments and that is all well and good, but we believe it has major disadvantages for both tenants and owners:

Tenants Difficult to find available apartments with adequate descriptions. Listings are hard to find using search filters. No way to search by availability date. Some listings are setups by scammers.

Owners/Agents You must re-submit your listing many times to remain on the top of the list. Every time you post a listing you have to upload images again. Receive multiple spam emails. You need to create a new ad every year.
